A WOMAN from Rhyl has died overnight after being admitted to hospital with severe injuries, police have confirmed.
Police were called at 10.30pm on Thursday (October 24) to a residential property on Cefndy Road; a 69-year-old woman was subsequently taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Sadly, police have confirmed that the woman has died following the incident.
A 33 year old man who was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been further arrested on suspicion of murder police say.
While a 25 year old woman has been released on conditional bail.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "A 69 year old woman from Rhyl has sadly died overnight following being admitted to hospital with severe injuries.
"A 33 year old man, who was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has now been further arrested on suspicion of murder.
"A 25 year old woman who was arrested for assisting an offender has now been released on conditional bail. Police enquiries into the events continue.
"Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this sad time who are being supported by specialist police teams. His Majesty’s Coroner has also been informed."
