POLICE have explained the reason for their presence in areas of Wrexham today.
North Wales Police siad officers were called to reports of a "disturbance" in Cefn Mawr on Friday morning - with two people subsequently arrested on suspicion of public order offences.
A property in the Ash Grove area of Plas Madoc was also searched in relation to the incident, police said.
A NWP spokesperson said: "Shortly after 8.20am this morning, officers were called to a report of a disturbance at an address in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham.
"A 28-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of public order offences."
Chief Inspector Glen Brumby added:: “I would like to reassure members of the public that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider concern to the community.
“The man and woman who have been arrested remain in custody.”
