A NUMBER of road closures will be in place in Wrexham city centre as the final stages of the regeneration work takes place.
Work has been ongoing to redevelop the High Street in Wrexham city centre over the last few months.
To help deliver the final phases of the works joining the new road surface between Hope Street and Church Street with High Street, there will need to be temporary closures on Hope Street and High Street for the works to be carried out safely.
The closure of these roads will be for five working days starting Monday, November 4 and ending on Friday, November 8.
Access for pedestrians will remain open throughout this phase of the works.
During this temporary closure, Abbot Street will be temporarily reopened and drop-off points will be provided at the top of Town Hill (exiting via Abbot Street) and at the top of Yorke Street (exiting via Chester Street/Charles Street.
Griffiths are the contractors appointed by Wrexham County Borough Council to complete the improvements on the Highs Street.

The council say their staff will be available and happy to help by providing a porter service from this location for business deliveries. Refuse/waste collections will be at the same locations as the drop-off points.
Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration said “Our contractors will be working as safely, efficiently and to the highest standards possible in order to complete the works as soon as they can.
“We apologies for the disruption caused during the works in improving our high street and hope that businesses will be able to take full advantage of the new layout and enhancements once complete.”
