IT looks set to be a largely dry and mild weekend across Wrexham and Flintshire according to the Met Office. 

The weather experts are forecasting sunny and dry conditions in most parts across north Wales, with highs of up to 15C. 

There is the chance of some small rain spells on Sunday evening, but in the most it is set to be a dry weekend in Wrexham and Flintshire. 

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Today: Cloudy with a band of rain spreading slowly north-eastwards through the day. Some heavier outbreaks at times, particularly over higher ground, before turning drier this afternoon.

"Tonight: A few showers linger at first, but a dry and fine night to follow. Patchy cloud persists across the high ground, with clearer skies elsewhere. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

"Saturday: Plenty of sunny spells, although still rather cloudy in the mountains through the morning. Turning brighter here later as well, before cloud thickens from the west overnight. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

"Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Cloudy but settled on Sunday with a band of rain sinking slowly southward overnight. Some heavier outbreaks on Monday, though rain turning light and patchy on Tuesday. Generally light winds."
