THE Magic Dragon Brewery Tap, located in Charles Street, has been awarded a Cask Marque and made it into CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2025 for the fourth year in a row.

The Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide – the UK’s best-selling beer and pub guide – is now in its 52nd edition.

It is known as the definitive resource for beer enthusiasts across the UK, featuring 4,500 of the top pubs.

Cask marque is an independent accreditation scheme that assesses the quality of cask ale (real ale). To receive a cask marque, the pubs beers are tested on their temperature, aroma, appearance and taste.

Drinkers can find cask marque pubs through the cask finder app and can scan with their phone to record their visit as part of the ale trail.

The pub is located in the old Elephant & Castle which closed down in the 90’s. It serves mainly beers from the Magic Dragon Brewery along with guest ales, craft beer, cider, wines and spirits. There is also live music most weekends and it’s popular on a match day too.

Magic Dragon Brewery Tap is open Mon to Wed 12 to 11, Thur to Sat 12 to 12 and Sunday 2pm to 11.20pm.
