A POPULAR walking challenge that takes in stunning North Wales scenery, returns next year.
The Llangollen Round Challenge will take place over the weekend of May 31 and June 1, 2025.
This 35-mile event has taken place every three years since 2012 (with a covid break), in aid of Cancer Research UK. The 2022s walk raised more than £120,000, for which they received a national award.
Organiser Judy Smith said: "It's a bit spectacular because it goes around every summit in the Vale of Llangollen, so you get some fantastic views.
"The checkpoints in the hills will be carrying food, like cheese and biscuits and homemade cakes, and water.
"Someone once said we were fuelled by homemade cakes, as the whole town bakes for it.
