TWO separate collisions were reported to North Wales Police on Tuesday morning (October 22) involving five vehicles in total.
The first incident took place shortly before 7.30am near Junction 7 Rossett (northbound), Wrexham, causing heavy congestion during rush-hour as motorists travelled to work.
Traffic Wales reported heavy congestion following the closure of Lane 2, with vehicles backed up to the Belgrave Junction at times. Emergency services attended the scene, including Wales Ambulance and North Wales Police.
Since the incident, a police spokesperson said: "At 7.24am this morning (Tuesday, October 22nd) we received a report of two separate road traffic collisions on the A483 in Wrexham.
"The first incident involving two vehicles happened just after Junction 7, before another three vehicles collided in a second incident nearby.
"Officers attended and the on slip at Junction 7 was closed while the vehicles were recovered.
"No serious injuries were reported, and the road was cleared shortly before 9.30am."
