ATIK Nightclub has officially gone on the market in Wrexham, and readers are not short of suggestions for the building's future potential.

Ten months since the nightclub called in administrators, Atik has officially been listed for £450,000 through Christie & Co.

While many reminisced on memorable nights out, several readers of the Leader shared their thoughts on what should happen next for the building that was once the place to be on a Saturday night.

Here are a few of our favourite suggestions...

Mike McQueen said: "Scott's 2", agreed by Clairey Lou who said: "Bob Scott should snap it up and reopen it as Scott's." Now, who remembers Scott's? Initially, it opened in 1989 featuring themed music floors - the perfect place for dancing and socialising.

Wave Scales agreed, and said: "Recreate a Scott's kind of feel, a bit of everything for everyone."

Andy Bonham Hole said: "Make a nice ROCK venue", in keeping with the music and entertainment theme.

Dazza Squire added: "Those buildings would be a great fit for a lazer tag and nerf wars with a little arcade." We imagine this would be a huge hit with gamer fans in Wrexham.

"Be flats in six months", said Rachael Jones, while Samantha Roberts added: "Turn it into private apartments."

Other brilliant suggests include; An 80s themed bar, cinema, bingo venue and a day disco bar."

Of course, we can't forget the memories created at Atik, along with the businesses providing decades of entertainment that occupied the building before that.

"I remember when part of it used to be Chicago Rock", Ian Morgan said.

Club XS from the 1990s is well-remembered by Steve Davies and Bob Rooke.

"The old cinema, that's what it was when I was younger", said Stan Coppell. "I used to go to the Saturday morning club, that was a long time ago."

"I worked there when it was top rank bingo", admitted Ian Morgan.

Milly Millington shared her thoughts and said: "I'm so glad most of my nights out and younger years were before this place, it wasn't too bad at first then it went awful. Scots was the best club in town and when Scott's went, Wrexham never recovered."

And finally, Thomas Lewis said: "Someone message Ryan Reynolds quick."

What would you like to see the former Atik building turn into next? We love hearing your suggestions now it's up on the market.
