A charity in Wrexham is launching a new autumn initiative aimed at helping people develop lifelong healthy habits.
The Rainbow Foundation has announced a free 10-week programme called 'Changing Habits for Life.'
This social, psychological, and physical behaviour change initiative aims to support participants in altering their habits over a 66-day period.
The programme includes a combination of tests, personalised coaching, lifestyle advice, and peer support.
Participants will undergo a health assessment to provide a clear picture of their health status and baseline measurements.
They will then attend two workshop sessions per week, where they will receive health and fitness guidance, coaching, and support.
There will also be opportunities to try various exercise classes, catering to all ages and abilities.
The Rainbow Foundation's 'Changing Habits for Life' initiative was initially inspired by Channel 4's 'The 21 Day Body Turnaround with Dr Michael Mosley.'
It has since been enhanced with additional research and proven techniques to ensure lasting change in habits, which in turn improves health outcomes.
Sharon Latham, a programme co-leader, said: "As we come into the colder months it becomes easy to fall back on comfort foods and enter periods of low activity, but in just 10 weeks, Changing Habits for Life can help you feel better both physically and mentally, allowing you to enter 2025 feeling great."

Ian Pope, director of operations for The Rainbow Foundation, added: "The results so far have been incredible.
"Not only have participants lost both pounds and inches, but the impact on their motivation and energy levels has made such a positive difference to their everyday lives.
"If things do start to feel a little tough, then the connections and support network they build during the 10-week programme is there to help."
The programme, delivered in partnership with Wrexham University, has already received positive feedback from past participants.
Maria, a participant and programme co-leader, said: "As a type 1 diabetic, I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in my blood sugar levels since starting the course.
"My BMI is currently 26.2 and I have lost approximately 7kg in weight."
Michelle, another participant, said: "I can’t believe I lost 17cm off my waist."
Anthony, who also took part in the programme, said: "My GP agreed I can stop statins as my cholesterol is now under control with diet."
The Rainbow Foundation is now looking for new participants to join two cohorts, one starting in November and the other in December.
The November daytime cohort will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 11am, while the December evening cohort will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
To take part, individuals must be aged between 18 and 65 and have one or more of the following conditions: a BMI over 30, high cholesterol, pre-diabetic/diabetic, or high blood pressure.
Those interested can register their details by emailing changinghabits@therainbowfoundation.org.uk or by calling the Rainbow Foundation on 01948 830730.
