WREXHAM Council have warned residents following reports of fake parking tickets being handed out in the city centre over the weekend.
The local authority said they were made aware of the fake tickets being circulated in the city centre and have urged residents not to take any notice of them.
They've warned that the 'tickets', which include a number to pay the fine, are not legitimate and any genuine parking tickets will be printed with details in Welsh and English.
A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: "We are aware that several fake parking tickets were circulated in the city centre over the weekend.

"The ‘tickets’ ask that the recipient call a phone number ending in 5805 to pay a fine. Do not call this number or contact the email as this is a scam.
"Genuine WCBC notifications of parking fines will be bilingual (English and Welsh) and will be a printed ticket and have details of how to pay on the rear of the PCN.
"If you believe you have received a fake parking ticket please email parking@wrexham.gov.uk with any queries."
