"As the director of Frankenstein, I was supported by a hugely talented cast and crew and these awards rightly recognise their skills. We are particularly proud to have the trophy going into Grove Park Theatre's centenary year from September 2025."

Grove Park, which is run entirely by volunteers, performs shows ranging from comedy, drama and suspense through to costume plays, pantomimes and musicals.

As Wrexham's oldest amateur theatre, Grove Park has been entertaining residents since 1925, after moving into its current building on Hill Street in 1954.

The company's upcoming production of Educating Rita will run from October 29 until November 2, presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd.
