A MARSTON'S pub restaurant based in Flintshire is set to welcome new management next month after 9-years.

Pen Y Bont Farm Pub, situated at Chester Road in Mold, is waving goodbye to its current management team led by Stephen Newman after almost a decade serving the community.

Promising a smooth transition, the family has confirmed they will be moving to Conwy for a new chapter and fresh challenge while Pen Y Bont prepares to welcome Daniel Pacheco.

A Marston's spokesperson has confirmed Daniel, currently at the Old Hall Farm in Ellesmere Port, will become the new general manager, starting on November 11.

In an announcement post shared on social media, current manager Stephen said: "A Heartfelt Farewell After Over 9 Amazing Years!

"After 17 incredible years with Marston’s, and 9 unforgettable years at Pen Y Bont Farm, the time has come for me to move on to pastures new in Conwy with a new brewery and pub (t-shirts)!

"My partner Sam, our daughter Seren, and my four other children with Sarah —Oliver, Thomas, Lucy, and Matthew—who have all either worked alongside me or still do, will also be making the move.

"Rest assured, the transition will be smooth, as the new manager will be an internal one, and the rest of our brilliant team, some of whom have been with me for over 12 years, will continue to provide the same exceptional service you’ve come to know and love.
