A MAIN road was closed following reports of a fallen tree in Flintshire on Sunday evening (October 20).
As Storm Ashley hit the UK, the Met Office warned residents, particularly in coastal areas of north Wales, of strong winds causing potential dangers.
At approximately 7.38pm yesterday, Greenfield Road in Holywell, Flintshire, was closed to the public.
Police have now confirmed that a tree had fallen onto the road, causing safety concerns for drivers.
A spokesperson said: "At 7.38pm yesterday evening (Sunday 20 October), we received reports of a fallen tree on Greenfield Road in Bryn Celyn, Holywell.
"A temporary road closure was enforced whilst the debris was cleared from the carriageway.
"No injuries were reported from the scene and the road was reopened shortly after 9pm."
