A WREXHAM pub based in the city centre remains closed today (October 17) due to damage from yesterday's flooding.

The Nags Head, situated along Mount Street, shut its doors due to flooding inside the building.

Approximately 3ft of water has flooded the cellar, with water damage on the ground floor (the bar area).

Speaking to the Leader today, a pub spokesperson said: “We’re closed today after yesterday’s flooding. It was about 3ft deep in our cellar and has completely covered the ground floor. Our carpets were ruined by the water which also filled the main pub floor.
