MONITORING of a part of north Wales hit by floods yesterday (October 16) will continue today as river levels remain 'above normal'.
Parts of Flintshire and Wrexham were severely impacted with heavy rainfall hitting the region.
Roads were closed and people were even evacuated from their homes amid the floods.
At 4pm on Wednesday, the water level of the River Dee at Bangor-on-Dee was in excess of 13 metres.
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has confirmed that it will continue to monitor levels of the River Dee catchment area today.

That includes areas around the River Dee from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadow.
It also includes communities, businesses and isolated properties along the River Dee including Erbistock, Plas Devon, Almere and Trevalyn Meadows.
Monitoring will be in place amid river levels being 'above normal levels' following the flood.
NRW said: "Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. River Levels will be above normal levels. We will continue to monitor the situation."
NRW say they will also be monitoring areas around the River Alyn, including around the Mold area at Leadmill, Ponterwyl, Glanyrafon, Pentre and Broncoed.
They will also be keeping an eye on areas around the river Alyn from Llandegla to Rossett.
