A FLINTSHIRE bookshop is hosting a timely author event in the run-up to Halloween.
North Wales-born author Russ Williams will be at Mold Library to talk about his book, Where The Folk: A Welsh Folklore Road Trip.
He will be in conversation with Caroline Johnson from The Mold Bookshop.
Russ Williams was raised on Wales' stories, like the one about a mountain that would send you mad or turn you into a gifted poet if you camped out on it, the one about the lost civilisation drowned by the sea and the one about the bottomless lake leading down to the Welsh Otherworld.

In this humorous travelogue, Russ recounts stories of witches and giants, dragons and mad doctors, ghostly women, vampire furniture and pirate-fighting monks.
He grew up in Caernarfon and now lives in Cardiff, where he runs two blogs, Brawd Autistico, which documents his life with an autistic brother, and Where the Folk, about Welsh folklore and urban myths
This event takes place on October 29 at 7pm. Tickets from £5 are available from The Mold Bookshop on 01352 759879 or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/the-moldbookshop
