FIREFIGHTERS have evacuated people from their homes in Flintshire following the heavy rainfall today (October 15).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were in attendance on Kinnerton Road, Lower Kinnerton supporting residents leaving their homes.
Heavy rain has hit Flintshire and Wrexham today, with several areas and roads flooded and disruption to public transport.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance in Lower Kinnerton, supporting residents to safely leave their homes due to flooding of some streets.

"Two of our swift water technicians have been going door to door to check if anyone is need of assistance. Updates will be provided."
The main road through Lower Kinnerton is closed in both directions due to flooding, with police asking the public to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Rural South Police service said: "Main Road in Lower Kinnerton is currently closed in both directions due to flooding.
"Police and fire are in attendance at the scene and a small number of homes have been evacuated.
"Residents are advised to avoid the area at this time."
