RESIDENTS and a councillor have slammed "unacceptable" fly-tipping on a public footpath near a Flintshire beauty spot.
Items of rubbish have dumped in a large pile on a footpath near Bryn y Gaer forest in Hope.
A local resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "This has blocked a public footpath on the fringe of natural woodland, home to lots of wildlife. We have even spotted Red Kites here recently.
"It's such a shame that someone thought it was ok to do this."

One said: "Oh my goodness, that’s absolutely awful. Why do people do this? Shocking."
Others described it as "absolutely disgusting" and "horrible".
Hope county councillor, Gladys Healey, said: "I have emailed Streetscene and the cabinet member and will follow it up with a phone call on Monday.
"I understand that it is on a public footpath and it is totally unacceptable."
