Aled Jones: Full Circle (October 24)
This October, prepare to hear Aled Jones as you’ve never heard him before in his show. He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice.
Selling over seven million albums, Aled was the original, classical crossover star.
Now, after 40 years in the business, he’s looking back on a remarkable career with a one-man show, that will feature never-before-heard music, tales from the decades and, for the first time, his story told in his own words.
Strings & Shadows (November 17)
Wrexham Symphony Orchestra presents Strings & Shadows conducted by Mark Lansom.
The world-renowned double bassist Leon Bosch joins WSO to perform a concerto, a world premiere symphony by Paul Benyon, who grew up in North Wales and Stravinsky’s boundary-pushing ballet, Petrushka - famous for its bold and beautiful sounds, thrilling melodies, and vibrant characters.
The Nutcracker (December 8)
Wrexham Symphony Orchestra get us in the festive spirit with The Nutcracker. Tchaikovsky’s glittering classic transports you from Clara’s cosy house to the magical Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Tutus, tiaras and swords at the ready for a warming WSO Christmas adventure conducted by Bedwyn Phillips.
Carols for Christmas (December 22)
Continuing the festivities BBC NOW present Carols for Christmas. Join BBC National Chorus of Wales’ artistic director, Adrian Partington, alongside a massed choir from across North Wales for this glittering, annual Christmas festivity - the perfect Sunday afternoon treat for all the family.
Music of the Heart (February 13)
Whether you're a classical music fan, or new to its captivating power, you're in for a treat with this stunning concert Music of the Heart directed by internationally award-winning violinist Hyeyoon Park and Sinfonia Cymru.
The concert will take you on an epic journey from the bustling piazzas and romance of Florence, where Tchaikovsky composed his Souvenir de Florence, to the tranquil beauty of the river that separates the Welsh and English countryside in Finzi’s Severn Rhapsody, to Fanny Mendelssohn’s impassioned and moving String Quartet.
Audiences will experience the premiere of Sinfonia Cymru’s version of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto for chamber orchestra. This concert is pure joy and needs to be on the top of your to do list this winter.
East Meets West (February 23)
Wrexham Symphony Orchestra kick off 2025 with their concert East Meets West.
This event will share music that spans continents and cultures, conducted by Stephen Threlfall. The concert will bridge different worlds in this musical kaleidoscope from the golden era of American music to Tchaikovsky’s ever popular Violin Concerto.
