A MAN from Gwersyllt charged with murder has had his trial delayed by four months.
Matthew Hardy, of Wheat Close, denies killing Antony Derwent, 52, also of Wheat Close, in Gwersyllt on April 7.
At Mold Crown Court today (October 10), Judge Rhys Rowlands said that, for a “number of reasons”, the trial can no longer start on Monday, November 4 as planned.
It will now begin on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Hardy, 36, appeared at today’s hearing via videolink from HMP Berwyn where he has been remanded.
His custody time limit was extended by Judge Rowlands, also.
