A SERIAL shoplifter from Wrexham has been jailed after being caught stealing six blocks of cheese.
Shona Marsh, of Hampson Avenue in Wrexham, appeared before Mold Crown Court for sentencing on Monday, October 7.
The 35-year-old was previously, on October 4 at Mold Magistrates Court, convicted of theft from a shop.
Karl Scholz, prosecuting, explained that the offence in question took place on July 6 of this year.
Marsh - and a male accomplice - entered Morrisons in Wrexham.
The pair separated from one another within the shop and the defendant was caught on CCTV stealing six blocks of cheese, worth around £27.
Mr Scholz said the offence put Marsh in breach of an 18-month community order she received in October of last year for fraud.

She was also the subject of a six-month suspended sentence from April of this year for other shoplifting matters and was also in breach of that having 'not engaged' with probation.
That included not turning up to appointments, Mr Scholz said.
The prosecution also said that Marsh had 'numerous' offences of note dating back to 2017, including seven thefts since last year.
Mr Scholz added: "She has breached all such orders made in the past."
In interview with police on September 2, Marsh admitted that it was her on the CCTV footage, but added that she 'did not remember taking the cheese'.
Euros Jones, defending, said Marsh 'simply wishes to put an end to these matters'.
Sentencing the defendant, Judge Nicola Saffman said: "It is clear that you went there (Morrisons) with intention to steal.
"You have failed to comply fully with any court order ever imposed upon you."
The Judge sentenced Marsh to two weeks for the theft and activated both suspended sentences at eight and four weeks respectively, giving an overall sentence of 14 weeks imprisonment.
