THE MET OFFICE has offered its forecast for the week ahead in north Wales.

With winter now upon us, it's time to start grabbing those coats and umbrellas, it would seem for the most part.

But, for today (Monday, October 7) at, the experts at the Met Office are predicting that 'showery rain will clear the north' with any mist 'lifting to leave some sunny spells'.

Tonight will see 'clouding over more widely with rain, occasionally heavy, spreading north'.

The forecast adds: "Turning drier again by the early hours with low cloud and patchy fog developing. Staying relatively mild. Minimum temperature 8 °C."

Tomorrow's forecast (Tuesday, October 8) is as follows: "A misty and murky start for some, then brightening up with sunny intervals but plenty of heavy showers also developing. Slow-moving thundery downpours are possible in places. Temperatures above average. Maximum temperature 15 °C."

The outlook for Wednesday (October 9) to Friday (October 11) reads: "Sunny spells and fewer showers on Wednesday and turning windier. Colder on Thursday and Friday with cloudy periods and occasional sunny spells. Patchy fog and frost overnight as winds ease."
