Every week, The Leader publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have passed away.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Brenda Griffin passed away peacefully on September 26 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, aged 85. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Monday, 21st October 2024 at 11:15am.

Stephen James Meredith, former railway worker and enthusiast, passed away peacefully on September 25. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Thursday, 10th October 2024 at 12:00 pm.

Mervyn OWEN

Mervyn Owen died peacefully in hospital on September 27, formerly of Glan Y Morfa Court, Connah's Quay, aged 91.  Funeral Service at St Mark's Parish Church, Connah's Quay on Thursday 10th October at 12.00pm followed by interment at Kelsterton Cemetery.

Rosemary WILLIAMS

Rosemary 'Rose' Williams passed away peacefully on September 15 in hospital, aged 87. Private funeral. Family flowers only please at Rose's request.

Margaret MIDDLETON

Margaret Middleton died peacefully in hospital of Buckley on September 18, aged 81. Requiem Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Buckley on Wednesday 9th October at 12.30pm followed by interment at Buckley Cemetery.

Moira DAVIES

Moira Davies departed this life on September 20. The much love wife of the late Rev Canon T. Phillip Davies. Her funeral service will be held at St Matthew's Church, Buckley at 2.00pm, on 12th October 2024.

Paul ARROWSMITH

Paul Arrowsmith of Mostyn Former Merchant Navy. A beloved husband, son, stepfather and brother. Passed away in Shrewsbury. Following a ceremony in the Abbey Church, Shrewsbury there will be a committal in St Margaret's Cemetery, Mostyn on Friday 11th October at 11am.

Alfred WOOLNOUGH

Alfred Woolnough passed away suddenly at his home in Bradley aged 82 on September 20.  Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium on Thursday, 10th October at 11:15 am.

Jeffery WHITTAKER

Jeffery Whittaker, formerly of Cae Bracty, Mold, died peacefully in his sleep on September 16. Funeral Service at Northop Crematorium on Friday, 11th October at 1.00pm.

John OXLEY

John Dawson Oxley of Caerwys died peacefully in hospital surrounded by his family on September 7, aged 88. Funeral service at St Michael's Church, Caerwys on Friday 11th October at 11.00am followed by committal at St Asaph Crematorium.

David Hayward passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 19 at Broughton Hall Care Home. uneral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Tuesday, 8th October 2024 at 10:30am.

William 'Billy' Burgess, formerly of Liverpool, lately from Overton, Wrexham, died peacefully on September 16. Billy's friends would welcome any Veterans to attend the Funeral Service at Pentrebychan Crematorium on Tuesday 8th October 2024 at 3.00pm.

Patricia Lux, former deputy headteacher of St Anne's Catholic Primary School, passed away on August 30, aged 91.  Mass to be held at Our Lady and The Welsh Martyrs Catholic Church, Overton on Wednesday 9th October 2024 at 11-00am, followed by burial at Marchwiel Cemetery.

Anne Mary Haley, well known of the Chester folk music scene and Mold Art Group, passed away on September 13. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Tuesday, 8th October 2024 at 2:15 pm. Blue or purple attire preferred.
