The Leder has asked readers what they think every visitor to Wrexham should experience.

Cefyn Hughes lauded the Wrexham Maelor hospital's renal unit.

They said: "Renal unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital fabulous staff who have looked after me for 20+ years following kidney transplant." 

Todd Cross highlighted the local community and one of Wrexham AFC's stars.

He said: "The people are the best thing about Wrexham, that and Elliot Lee."

Mark Andrew Jones recommended a wealth of local attractions including Erddig Hall, Plas Power Woods, and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

He said: "Erddig Hall and surrounding parkland. 

"Plas Power Woods, St Giles Church.

"Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Wrexham hosts one of the best small festivals in the UK - FOCUS Wales. 

"Saith Seren to hear and use Welsh. Ty Pawb for food, goods, music and culture. 

"Wrexham Museum. 

"Wrexham has lots of great choirs to listen to and sing with. Get out there and enjoy what we have." 

Meanwhile, Nia Marshall Lloyd presented a children's perspective, commenting: "We asked the children in school to draw what Wrecsam meant to them.

"Couple of Wxm fc but mostly all the supermarkets.

"No historical buildings/places of interest." 

Some threw a spotlight on historical sites.

Clare Hall mentioned: "The miners rescue station maesgwyn rd."

Alan Williams, amongst others, suggested Alyn Waters, Acton Park, Bersham woods and Dinas Bran Castle, adding that there's much more to discover.

Nick James regretted the lack of positive posts about the town and shared multiple attractions including Erddig Christmas Market, dining in Pant yr Ochain, mountain biking in Gresford Collery and a chat with Mr Sturman in The Music Place.
