A CERTIFIED gluten-free bakery has opened its doors in Wrexham after years of being a wholesale retailer.

Mark and Renee Thompson have finally opened their dream bakery and coffee shop.

'Grazed' opened to the public earlier this week, inviting all customers to try their gluten free experience. That's right, everything is gluten free...

Based on the Vauxhall Industrial Estate in Ruabon, the bakery and coffee shop has joined the couple's existing wholesale business of grazing tables which initially launched in 2019. After adapting to covid struggles, the pair began to serve their delicious treats through postal boxes.

Mark, 40, said: "We're looking forward to going back to our roots.

"We started our business online gifting locally across Wrexham during covid before branching out to UK national delivery.

"We then moved into wholesale goods in 2022 which become 100% of our business. Opening our bakery counter this week as a side operation means we can look forward to reconnecting with our local community and being able to put a smile on peoples faces with our delicious bakes."

Mark added: "You definitely wouldn't know the treats are gluten free, and we don't usually advertise that we are.

"We've had a huge response on Facebook groups from people coming in who are coeliac. Customers particularly like the brownies, blondies, cookies and cupcakes. We also have a vegan range."

Hot and cold drinks are also served, with beans sourced locally from the Wrexham Bean Company.

The pair are delighted with the success of opening week and invite customers across Wrexham to try their menu, and not just take them at their word.
