A MENTAL health support charity has thanked long-time Wrexham supporters.

Elaine Hughes has been fundraising for North East Wales Mind following the death of her daughter, Emma Lloyd, in 2018.

Emma took her own life at the age of 38, following years of struggle with her mental health.

To raise funds for Mind, Elaine has been making and selling decoupage bottles, a process that gives a painted look to any theme, and have lights inside.

Since 2021, these creations have been sold in aid of the charity at The Beeches pub in Gresford.

This collaboration has seen a total of £4,000 raised to date, and Elaine and the team at The Beeches have been presented with a certificate of thanks.

Halloween themed bottles are currently available at the Wrexham venue, priced at £10 each.

The fundraising continues next month, with an annual Christmas craft fair at St Margaret's Church Hall in Garden Village.

The festive event will be in support of Mind and St Margaret's Church Centenary Appeal Fund.

It takes place on Saturday, November 23, from 2pm-5pm. Entrance fee is £1, children free. Refreshments will be available.
