MANY people were dealt with by Mold Magistrates Court last week.

David Jackson, aged 48 and of Salisbury Street in Shotton, was sentenced for criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £100 fine and £85 costs.

Joe Underhill, aged 21 and of Lloyd Place in Chester, was sentenced for drug-driving (ketamine) in Saltney Ferry. The court imposed a driving ban of 17 months, as well as a 12 month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.

Jordan Wilkes, aged 26 and of Mold Road in Connah's Quay, was sentenced for drug driving (cannabis). The court imposed a driving ban of 14 months, a fine of £450 and cists of £85, as well as a £180 victim surcharge.

Karl Leighton, aged 43 and of Trelawny Avenue, Flint, was sentenced for using a vehicle without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and drink driving. A 12 month community order was imposed, including a 120 day alcohol abstinence requirement, 28 month driving ban, 10 days of rehabilitation activity, £85 costs, £114 victim surcharge and a £200 fine.

Christopher Fisher, aged 43 and of Old Chester Road in Milwr, was sentenced for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, described as an 'unprovoked headbutt' causing 'significant injury' in Holywell. He received a 26 week custodial sentence, suspended for 18 months. The court imposed 35 days on a programme, 20 days of rehabilitation activity, 180 hours of unpaid work, £500 compensation and £500 costs.

Carly Griffiths, aged 34 and of City Road in Chester, was sentenced for four offences of theft from shop, two of which took place in Wrexham (£40 worth of laundry products from Co-op x2) and two in Rhyl (toiletries worth £87.50 from Poundland and items worth £99.99 from Boots.) The court imposed a custodial term of one week on each offence to run concurrent. 

Patrick McGrath, aged 35 and of Bryn Hafod in Southsea, was sentenced for four counts of theft from shop, all of which took place in Wrexham. The court imposed an overall sentence of eight weeks in prison, but suspended it for 12 months. The defendant was banned from entering any Morrisons, Morrisons Daily, Sainsburys or Wickes (the four companies he targeted in the offences) for 12 months and must pay compensation in the sums of £30, £300, £61 and £36.

Wesley Lloyd-Jones, aged 52 and of Hill Court, Wrexham, was sentenced for breaching a criminal behaviour order, in that he was drunk and urinated in public - which he was prohibited from doing by the order. He received a six month community order with 120 days of alcohol abstinence, £85 costs and five days of rehabilitation activity.
