MOLD'S unique celebration of top cask and keg ales and ciders is back for another year.
Dates have been confirmed for the popular annual event as Friday, November 8 and Saturday 9 in the former St Mary’s Church Hall, now renamed ‘The Pod’, in King Street, Mold, Flintshire.
Four sessions will be held over the two days of NovemberFest and will feature up to 30 different ales and ciders for visitors to sample, plus some first-class entertainment from local North Wales musicians.
The event kicks off at 12.30pm on November 8, with the first ‘drinkers’ session’. There’ll be no live music, just a very convivial atmosphere in which to sample the beers and ciders on offer.
The afternoon will also feature a new hosted beer tasting event, at which people will be able to book one of the limited spaces to learn from a CAMRA expert on the art of what to look for in a beer and how to judge its merits.
You can sign up when you enter the Festival for the Friday afternoon session (this event will be solely taking place on Friday afternoon). Book early to avoid disappointment.
As in previous years, there will be a strong emphasis on locally produced ales and ciders, mixed with some top quality, award-winning guest ales from further afield.
Street Food will be provided throughout the weekend by Dream Poutine with their great variations on loaded fries and top class musical entertainment will be supplied by local bands on Friday evening and at both Saturday sessions.
There’ll also be wine and other options for those who are not so keen on sampling the ales!
Session times are:
- Friday Afternoon: 12.30pm – 5pm.
- Friday evening: 6pm – 10.30pm with live music from The C90’s
- Saturday Afternoon 12.30pm – 5pm with live music from CanCan
- Saturday evening 6pm – 10.30pm with live music from The Factory Hens
This will be the 12th edition of the much-loved event, organised by a team of local volunteers in partnership with the local branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and Mold Town Council.
Tickets are sure to be in high demand and are strictly limited to 180 per session maximum.
Both evening sessions were sold out in advance last year – so watch out for ticket sales going online in the next few weeks.
