THE RSPCA is looking to raise awareness of its low cost mobile veterinary clinic that comes to Wrexham each week.

The new subsidised clinic is at the Caia Park Partnership every Friday between 9.30am and 11.30am.

The service is for pet owners in receipt of a means tested benefit whose pet needs veterinary care.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA's mobile veterinary clinic said: "So many pets locally go unseen, and untreated due to the every increasing costs of everything.

"We're here to help pet owners visit the vet without worrying about the high costs involved."

MORE NEWS:

The mobile vet clinic has been running for 15 years and travels all over North Wales. It is staffed by volunteers and veterinary surgeons. To date, the service has treated 15,000 animals in North Wales.

The cost of living crisis has hit pet owners hard. RSPCA research has found more than three-quarters (76.3 per cent) of its staff and branches are now seeing more cases where cost concerns meant veterinary care was either delayed or not sought at all.

Four out of every five respondents (80 per cent) also reported that animals were already suffering because of the cost of living crisis.
