The Leader has published 16 death notices in the last seven days.

Every week, The Leader publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have passed away.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Malcolm Idris Gough of Elwy Close, Bryn Y Baal, Mold, passed away peacefully at Pendine Park Care Home on September 23, age 78. Funeral service and cremation at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Thursday, 17th October 2024 at 12:00 PM.

Maureen LEWIS

Maureen Lewis, former proprietor of The Berwick Cafe, Minera, passed away peacefully on September 9 at her home, aged 75. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Tuesday, 1st October 2024 at 3:45 pm.

David SHONE

David John Samuel Shone, formerly of Buckley, was sadly found asleep on September 22 at his home in Wrexham, aged 42. A private family funeral will take place, however anyone wishing to make a donation in David's memory may donate to MIND or via the Funeral Director.

June ESSIEN

June Essien passed away peacefully on September 10, 'always young at heart.' Funeral service at Bistre Church, Buckley on Friday 18th October at 1pm, followed by burial in the churchyard. The family request that colourful attire be worn please.

Philip WILLIAMS

Philip John Williams, lifelong supporter of Wrexham AFC, sadly passed away peacefully on September 6 at home, aged 78.  Funeral service at Christ Church, Bwlchgwyn on Friday, 4th October 2024 at 11:30 am followed by committal at Coedpoeth Cemetery.

Kathleen JONES

Kathleen (nee Thomas) Jones fell asleep peacefully on September 14 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, aged 84. Funeral service on Thursday 3rd October at Pentrebychan Crematorium at 11.15 am. Family flowers only please but donations may be given if desired and would be gratefully received for Cunliffe Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The family have requested that mourners attending the funeral are to wear colourful clothing

Thomas 'Neville' Williams passed away peacefully on September 11, aged 84 in Spain. As per his wishes he was cremated in Spain.

Dilwyn WYNNE

Dilwyn Albert Wynne passed away peacefully on September 5 of Gwersyllt, Wrexham, aged 90. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Monday, 30th September 2024 at 11:30 am. Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given in memory for Alzheimer's Research UK.

Elizabeth ROGERS

Elizabeth 'Liz' Rogers passed away peacefully on September 18 at Highfiel, Pendine Park Nursing Home, aged 77. Funeral service at Pentrebychan Crematorium, Wrexham on Thursday, 26th September 2024 at 9:45 am. Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given in memory for the Alzheimer's Society
