AIRBUS' Broughton site has just recently welcomed over 200 new 'Early Careers' talent to its ranks.

That list includes 138 apprentices, 31 graduates, and 65 interns and represents Airbus’ ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent that will help grow the aerospace manufacturing industry in the UK and Wales.

With the aerospace industry evolving rapidly, Airbus recognises the importance of investing in the next generation of engineers, technicians, and business leaders.

This new group of 234 early careers professionals will receive world-class training and development opportunities, allowing them to gain hands-on experience by contributing to real projects that will shape the future of the industry both today and tomorrow.

Airbus head of Broughton plant and site, Gareth Davies - a former apprentice himself - said: “It’s always a special moment to see fresh faces joining us here at Broughton. Having started my own journey as an apprentice, I know how valuable these opportunities are.

Mr Davies added: "By investing in these young professionals, we’re not just shaping the future of Airbus; we’re also supporting the future of the aerospace industry in the UK and Wales. It’s all about keeping innovation and manufacturing excellence at the heart of what we do.”

The new recruits will be working across various departments, contributing to projects that range from the assembly of wings for all Airbus commercial aircraft to the development of advanced manufacturing processes and supporting the Wing of Tomorrow Programme.

With Airbus being a key player in the aerospace sector, the experience gained here will equip these young professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers and support the wider industry.
