A DECISION has been made following a vandalism incident which temporarily closed public facilities in Flintshire.
A notice was placed outside the public toilets in Buckley last week following an incident described as "significant in its nature."
North Wales Police were informed of the vandalism and the toilets, located to the rear of the library along Paeswood Road, have been closed to the public since.
In a council meeting yesterday evening (September 24) the issue was discussed and a decision has now been made regarding whether the facilities will be closed down permanently.

A spokesperson said: "The council has decided to get the toilets repaired and re-opened as soon as possible on this occasion, however, they have also asked officers to look at a range of options going forward as the council cannot sustain the ongoing repair costs."
This was a repeat incident, with several others of a similar nature being reported previously. At this time, a police investigation remains ongoing.
The council will be working with community police officers moving forward to ensure the toilets can remain open to everyone.
