Four tennis courts have been transformed into a new multi-use facility.
Flintshire County Council secured funding for the re-development of the courts in Mold.
This was done in partnership with Aura Wales and the Alun High School.
The courts on the school campus/Mold Leisure Centre now feature a new playing surface, four tennis courts with new posts and nets, two ‘3 vs 3’ basketball courts with fixed posts, backboards and hoops, one netball court with new posts, as well as new fencing and lighting.
The project was funded by the Welsh Government and the Sports Wales’ Court Collaboration Project.
Councillor Mared Eastwood, cabinet member for education, Welsh language and culture, said: "We are absolutely delighted to see this shared vision with Aura and Alun High School come to life.
"Thanks to Sports Wales and Welsh Government investment, we can now bring these courts into use again for pupils and members of the public to enjoy tennis, basketball and netball."
Construction work was completed over the summer holidays, and more than 2,000 pupils are now using the new courts.
The facility is set to officially open to the public in early October.
