A WREXHAM star says he wants Adam Sandler to be the next A-list guest at a Reds game.

The Reds top scorer so far this season, Jack Marriott has revealed that he'd love to play in front of the Hollywood legend.

Since the takeover of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021, there have been a host of special guests at the SToK Cae Ras including Hugh Jackman, Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.

After Tom Brady and David Beckham watched on at Birmingham City last week, Marriott told Sky Sports that Sandler is the one person he'd like to play in front of.

He said: "That's a tough question that. I'm a big comedy fan so someone like Adam Sandler.

"We share the same birthday which I discovered the other day but I'm a big fan of his so I'd like to see him."

Sandler has created and starred in a host of Hollywood hits including Grown Ups, Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that there was set to be a sequel to Happy Gilmore, following on from the original in 1996.

Marriott also revealed how excited he was for the release of the new film having watched the original more than 100 times!

He added: "That's going to be a good one, I think I watched the original one well into the three figures so I can't wait for the new one."
