GETTING your hands on delicious treats in Wrexham is about to get a lot easier.

Until now, Grazed Bakery on the Vauxhall Industrial Estate, in Ruabon has been wholesale only.

But the husband and wife team at the helm are opening a store front to the artisan bakery this weekend.

Mark and Renee Thompson initially started their own grazing table catering company in 2019 but just as they got started, the coronavirus pandemic changed everything.

The Wrexham couple adapted, and began serving their brownie-loving customers with postal brownie boxes. Grazed was born and an immediate success.

They took over their current Wrexham unit in June 2022, where they bake with their team of seven staff.

This weekend (Saturday, September 28) they launch the bakery's serve-over counter, selling brownies, cakes, including vegan options, coffees and teas.

Mark, 40, who has a background in wholesale and retail, said: "We started with online gifting and that just grew, so we got into wholesale. Then we thought we have a great unit, let's open to the public.

"I think it will become a destination where people come purposely, to get sweet treats for the weekend or occasions."
