THE OWNER of a non-profit organisation in Wrexham has expressed his gratitude following the hub's closure announcement.
Last week, 'Yellow and Blue' confirmed it would be closing its doors after four-years in Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre.
Founder Peter Humphreys admitted he had made the decision to put his family first after years of hard-work and selfless dedication.
He has now thanked the community for their unwavering support following an outpour of warm wishes and recognition of the difference the hub has made in Wrexham.
On social media, Peter said: "So many messages and posts - thank you so much for the well wishes.
"I’ve read them all… I’ve got some pretty amazing people to get in touch with and thank this next week or so."
He proceeded to thank countless friends and employees who have made the hub what it is, including those behind the friendship hub, wellbeing hub, executive board members, food hygiene team, licensing team, social enterprise group an events team.
Peter added: "The reality is, YaB opened in Covid, navigated a cost of living crisis, and battled on through a town in a re-growth - let’s celebrate it, it was amazing."
YaB has been a place of comfort, support and reassurance to many across Wrexham, offering a fun and vibrant space, cafe and workshops.

It launched back in 2018 with a hub on Henblas Street after receiving an incredible £82,000 grant from the Welsh Government Shared Prosperity Fund.
The organisation has supported food appeals for the homeless population, hosted fundraisers, and has hosted Wrexham's Andy's Man Club, a mental health support group for those struggling.
Residents have continued to express their "sadness" and "heartbreak" following the news over the weekend, but have congratulated Peter on his success and decision to now prioritise his own wellbeing.
The hub will be deeply missed by so many in Wrexham and beyond. Further details on the closure will be confirmed soon.
