A MAN came up with a genius plan to stay dry during the downpour in Wrexham over the weekend.
Thunderstorms hit the region on Saturday (September 21) just as Wrexham were playing Crawley Town at home (and went on to win 2-1).
And one quick-thinking man was spotted walking through the streets near the STok Cae Ras with a beer garden umbrella in hand in an attempt to stay dry.
The brolly borrower was spotted sporting a jumbo 'Cruzcampo' umbrella - which was clearly taken from a beer garden - above his head.
But, despite the admirable effort, he and his friend were clearly still drenched as the picture shows.
Richard Watkin shared the photo to social media, which drew plenty of laughs from followers.

Richard, who owns the likes of the Fat Boar, the Maesgwyn Hall and Hill Street in Wrexham, said: "Up the Cruzcampo Reds ... Anyone knows the fella, fair play great idea ... just bring it back next match la x"
He told the Leader that the umbrella had been in fact been borrowed from the Maesgwyn Hall and has now been returned to the venue.
Reds fans on the Wrexham AFC Fans Chat group certainly saw the funny side too.
Chris Nadin said: "Passed these guys on the way to the Maesgwyn, legends!"
Claire Lovett wrote: "Wish I'd thought of that."
Samantha Brand added; "Only in Wrexham."
