There will be a number of road closures in place on the A55 this week that are set to cause disruptions and delays across North Wales.

These closures come as a result of works taking place in various locations up and down the A55.

These are the sections of the A55, according to Traffic Wales, that will experience road closures this week (September 23 to 29).

A55 road closures this week (September 23 to 29)

Junction 8A (Carreg Bran) - westbound

When: Tuesday (September 24)

The offslip westbound at junction 8A (Carreg Bran) on the A55 will be closed on Tuesday for emergency works.

This closure will take place between 8.15pm and 9.15pm.

Pinfold Lane - westbound

When: Wednesday to Thursday (September 25 to 26)

Both the onslip and offslip westbound at Pinfold Lane on the A55 will be closed overnight from Wednesday to Thursday due to cyclic maintenance.

This closure will be in place from 8pm until 7am.

Pen-y-Clip Headland - eastbound

When: Wednesday to Thursday (September 25 to 26)

The A55 will be closed eastbound at the Pen-y-Clip Headland overnight from Wednesday to Thursday due to cyclic maintenance.

This closure will be in place from 8.30pm until 8am and diversions will be in place.

Junction 22 (Old Colwyn) - both directions

When: Tuesday to Wednesday (September 24 to 25)

The offslip westbound on the A55 at junction 22 (Old Colwyn) will be closed overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday due to roadworks.

This closure will be in place from 8pm until 7am.

While the onslip eastbound at the same junction will be closed from 8pm on Tuesday until 6am on Wednesday, also due to roadworks.

Junction 23 (Llanddulas) - both directions

When: Monday to Wednesday (September 23 to 25)

Both the offslip and onslip eastbound at junction 23 (Llanddulas) on the A55 will be closed overnight from Monday to Tuesday due to cyclic maintenance.

This closure will be in place from 7.30pm until 6am and diversions will be in place.

While the onslip and offslip westbound at the same junction will be closed overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday due to roadworks

This closure will be in place from 8pm until 7am.

Junction 24 (Abergele) - eastbound

When: Monday to Tuesday (September 23 to 24)

The onslip eastbound at junction 24 (Abergele) on the A55 will be closed overnight from Monday to Tuesday due to cyclic maintenance.

This closure will be in place from 8pm until 7am.
