A MAN who died in a road traffic collision on the A541 near Mold has been named at an inquest opening.
Simon Paul Williams, of Fourth Avenue, Flint, passed away at Aintree Hospital on September 12 following an RTC on the A541 outside of Rhydymwyn two days earlier.
At County Hall, Ruthin on Monday (September 23) an inquest was opened into the death of the 33-year-old.
John Gittins, Senior Coroner for North Wales East and Central told the hearing that Mr Williams was transferred to Aintree Hospital following the RTC on September 10.
The former mobile plant operator had been riding a motorcycle at the time of the collision.
A provisional cause of death was that of a traumatic brain injury.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
