What a little gem ThaiDine in Wrexham is.

I admit I am late to the party but this authentic Thai restaurant on Bridge Street, Wrexham is a delight.

On its website it says it offers an unforgettable Thai culinary experience offering a delightful fusion of traditional flavours and modern flair.

And for us it did.

There is so much choice on the menu which prides itself on showcasing the richness and diversity of Thailand’s regional specialties, using only the freshest locally-sourced ingredients and premium imported spices.

Inside the restaurant is on two floors and its beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.

The staff were so warm, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing.

So what to chose?

For starters I opted for one from the specials board, fishcakes with a crunchy and tangy sauce.

It was delicious with a good amount of heat and a background flavour of lemongrass. It comprised of four delicious fishcakes packed with flavour, a great dipping sauce and side salad. To be honest I would have been happy with two fishcakes as the portion size was generous.

My partner opted for the crispy duck rolls which looked like samosas.

They were roast duck wrapped with vegetables and glass noodles in crispy rolls with sweet chill sauce.

These too were plentiful and I was told they were super tasty.

For my main I love ginger so for me it made perfect sense to choose the stir fry ginger with chicken as my chosen meat.

It was fresh ginger and oyster sauce with onions, mushrooms and pepper which were all super crunchy. As I said I love ginger so for my taste it could have had more ginger in it but it was flavoursome and along with a shared portion of sticky rice I was stuffed!

My partner went for the red curry which he said was perfect. A decent kick but not overpowering, perfectly partnering the pint of draught Singha.

Our table was booked for early evening but it was a good job we did book as it was bustling.

So lovely to see a restaurant busy and full of life. The ambience was great and so deserved as the food is excellent and service is top notch.

We will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends, family and colleagues.
