TRIBUTES have poured in for a 9-year-old boy from Wrexham following his unexpected death last weekend.
Freddie Pritchard, who lived in Rossett with mum Cerys, dad Wayne and brother Charlie, sadly passed away on September 14, on the family's way home from holiday.
His family and Gresford Athletic FC, where Freddie loved to play football, shared touching tributes, with his mum describing him as a "beautiful, caring boy who is known and loved by so many people".
A spokesperson from All Saints' School in Gresford, where Freddie attended, said: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Freddie.
"Freddie brought a smile and joy to everyone he met and we will miss him around our school and community so much."
Many have expressed their condolences on social media.
"Such a beautiful boy, our hearts and thoughts are with your family and friends", said Amanda Morris.
Sheila Jones said: "So very sorry to read this very heartbreaking. RIP little man sending love to your family and friends at this very sad time."
"Rest in peace little man", added Jess Gould. "Everyone in All Saints have been deeply saddened by the tragic news. Thinking of all your family and friends and sending them strength and love."
Mel Whitley said: "Sending love and prayers to mum and dad and all your family Freddie, you were a very friendly chap apparently, even my little girl in year 2 knew of you, she said you are really kind. Rest in peace young man."
Sue Parry said: "Go and shine bright with your great-granddad, Uncle Dylan and Aunty Vera."
"I have been thinking about you all since I knew and I am so very sorry for your loss, big hugs to you all", said Kepps Qu. "Forever 9 beautiful boy."

Lucy Higginbottom described the loss as "unimaginable" for the family.
"I just couldn't imagine the pain his loved ones must feel", said Kia Parry. "Fly high little one."
"Such a tragic loss", said Kayla Dodd. "Absolutely devastating. Heart is and will always be with your family at this awful time."
As well as playing the football himself, Freddie was a huge Liverpool FC and Wrexham AFC fan.
Gresford Athletic FC held a minute's silence last week as did other youth teams in Wrexham over the weekend.
Fans also did a minute's applause at the Stok Cae Ras during the Wrexham AFC v Crawley match on Saturday (September 21), during the 14th minute to reflect his player number.
