Firefighters were called to a house fire in Gresford on Saturday, September 21, following a suspected lightning strike.
The incident was reported to North Wales Fire and Rescue at about 5pm, during the time the thunderstorm passed over the area.
Wrexham County councillor Jeremy Kent reported the resident of the house affected on Chester Road was "thankfully being led away and went for care at a friend’s house not too far away. They were understandably shaken, but in good hands."
He added: "My praise and thanks to the emergency services who attended."
The councillor also reported that, in the same evening, there had been a mains water burst in Pant Olwen which engineers have been made aware of.
The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
