A NEW family-run world food centre has opened in the heart of Wrexham.

On Friday, September 13 the 'Wrexham World Food Centre' opened its doors to the public, brought to customers by owners Maximus and Masood Amiri.

The family business, occupying the former Scottish Bank building at 13 Lord Street, offers an extensive variety of products from different cuisines, and features a butchers counter selling locally-sourced Welsh lamb and other produce.

"I was very impressed with the new owners' commitment to Wrexham that they are very keen for this shop to be a success.

"It's bright and clean, with a super range of spices and flavoured rice, a really lovely meat counter with local chicken and Welsh Lamb, and unusual bread. Well worth a visit so I hope everyone shows their support."

The shop is open every day, 9am until 8pm.
