SEVERAL people have been banned from drinking establishments in Flintshire so far this year.

Pubwatch schemes are local, independent groups formed of people working in licensed premises.

The main objectives of the groups are to:

  • Tackle and prevent anti social behaviour and criminal activity
  • Promote safe drinking environments for customers and secure working environments for staff
  • Improve communication and sharing information between licensees

Monthly meetings are held by both the Deeside Pubwatch and the Buckley Pubwatch team (which also covers Mold and other surrounding areas).

The Buckley team was re-launched by North Wales Police in May of last year to ensure there is a safer night-time environment for all to enjoy.

And, so far this year, several people have been banned from the county's pubs and bars for their behaviour.
