Twelve people are needed to take part in a free 66-day programme that could change their lives.

The Rainbow Foundation is looking for participants to join their 'Changing Habits for Life' pilot scheme, which aims to improve people's health by changing their habits.

The programme, which is free to join, involves extensive tests, customised coaching, lifestyle advice, and peer support.

The initiative was inspired by The 21 Day Body Turnaround with Dr Michael Mosley on Channel 4, and has been enhanced by adopting a wider body of research and proven techniques.

The foundation has partnered with Wrexham University, and the results from the first pilots have been described as 'incredible'.

These people are likely to be overweight or experiencing a range of health conditions, from poor diet, reduced fitness levels, to lack of energy.

The foundation will deliver a bespoke and comprehensive programme to the participants, starting with a health assessment to get a clear picture of their health and baseline measurements.

This will involve a blood test, fitness level, and body composition tests.

Participants will then be able to explore their results and take part in the programme, which consists of two sessions a week for 10 weeks.

During the sessions, they will be given health and fitness advice, coaching, and support.

At the end of the course, the health assessment is repeated, and participants will be able to celebrate all they have achieved.

Previous participants have seen dramatic improvements in their health.

Maria, a type 1 diabetic, said: "I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in my blood sugar levels since starting the course.

"I have had two night-time lows in the last seven weeks and my BMI is currently 26.2.

"I have lost approximately seven kg in weight."

Michelle said: "I can’t believe I lost 17cm off my waist."

Sue said: "My GP agreed I can stop statins as my cholesterol is now under control with diet."

Ela added: "It has encouraged me to be the new me, doing things I didn’t think I would try again."

The course starts at the end of September and lasts for 10 weeks.
