Travellers have set up camp at Wrexham Road Park and Ride.
AN OFFICER from the Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team is set to attend an authorised camp set up by a Traveller group in Chester.
The camp, which was set up on Tuesday, September 10, includes six caravans located on privately-owned land at Wrexham Road Park & Ride site.
The location of the camp means that it is the responsibility of the landowner to deal with the issue, however the CWTT can provide advice and support.
Cheshire West and Chester Council have confirmed that an officer from the CWTT will now visit the location to conduct a welfare assessment of the site.
These assessments must be carried out before decisions can be made on relocating or evicting the group.
