NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Wrexham’s establishments and two of Flintshire's, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Wrexham 

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Black Peppers at Restaurant 18 Yorke Street, Wrexham; rated on September 4

• Rated 5: Pant Yr Ochain Hotel at Pant Yr Ochain Hall Hotel, Gresford, Wrexham; rated on September 2

• Rated 5: Smashed it at Unit 4 North Arcade Chester Street, Wrexham; rated on September 2

• Rated 5: Moneypenny at Moneypenny Western Gateway Business Park, Wrexham; rated on August 29

• Rated 5: Waterworld at Waterworld Bodhyfryd, Wrexham; rated on August 28

• Rated 5: The Bowling Green Hotel at The Bowling Green Hotel 43 Pen Y Bryn, Wrexham; rated on August 27

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Cross Foxes Inn at Cross Foxes Inn High Street, Pentre Broughton, Wrexham; rated on August 29

Takeaways

Plus three ratings for takeaways:

Royal Oak, a pub, bar or nightclub at Kinnerton Lane, Higher Kinnerton, Flintshire was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 7.

And Caffi'r Cob, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Caffir Cob, 1a Earl Road, Mold, Flintshire was also given a score of four on August 7.
