The fraud offence took place at Plas Coch Retail Park in Wrexham and involved him making a shop assistant believe she was in possession of the correct amount of cash, intending to cause loss to TK Maxx. The court jailed the defendant for 10 weeks as it was felt the offences were so serious that only custody could be justified. Samantha Williams, aged 45 and of Parc Alun in Mold was sentenced for failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver. She was fined £180 and received six penalty points. The court chose not to ban her from driving after accepting her application that a disqualification would cause exceptional hardship for others, namely; her mother whom she takes to hospital appointments, her children whom she takes to school and her brother whom she takes to hospital and solicitor appointments. However the court did impose costs of £200.
