THE COUNCIL'S Active Wrexham team is looking to provide a grant of up to £1,000 to community clubs and organisations who want to develop active links in their local schools and communities.
The grant could be used for coach education, purchasing new equipment, facility hire, etc, to deliver sessions in schools and support our schools well being programmes.
Active Wrexham focuses on creating and supporting opportunities within schools and communities for more people to be more active through a person-centred approach and also support the development of local clubs and volunteers to deliver high quality physical activity.

Cllr Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education, said, “We know there are lots of sports groups and clubs out there who I am sure would love to work with our team and offer their expertise and help to our schools as part of their well-being programmes.
“Please get in touch and find out how to apply for the grant and how it could benefit a larger group of people.”
