A new priest is set to join a Wrexham church this weekend.
Reverend Petra Goodband will become an associate priest at St Giles Church on Saturday, September 14.
She will be licensed by Bishop Gregory Cameron at a service of welcome at 3.30pm.
Reverend Goodband has been part of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon since her ordination in 2012.
She was most recently the ministry area leader for the East Radnor Ministry Area, based around Knighton, and the bishop's officer for pilgrimage and tourism.
Bishop Cameron said: "It is a delight to welcome Petra from mid-Wales.
"Petra will be an excellent addition to the new ministry team being developed at St. Giles."
Before her ordination, Reverend Goodband worked in several roles, including town planning and bingo calling.

Her primary career, however, was in music, both performance and teaching.
She is married to John, who she first met 39 years ago.
After years of social media contact, they reunited in 2019 and were soon married.
They will be living in Wrexham with their cat, Hooh, and two rescue dogs, Doris and Gladys.
Reverend Goodband describes herself as a country person but is looking forward to living in Wrexham, where she has already found places to walk her dogs.
Both she and her husband are music enthusiasts, enjoying a variety of genres.
Reverend Goodband sings and plays several instruments, including the oboe and saxophone, and has recently taken up the harp.
She has also led choirs of various sizes over the years.
